If our discrete consciousness emerges from the consciousness field (i.e., God), can we say discrete consciousness is how God interacts with himself? And, if so, this is only possible if we don't know we're fundamentally all the same consciousness? I wonder, if this is true, perhaps God doesn't want us to know this is true; it'd spoil God's experience of discreteness? And if so...maybe we shouldn't find out if this is actually the truth.
